A Year of HeART!

I've had the most heARTful year!  Spend a lot of time Art Journaling as well as painting with acrylic and water colors.  But although I delved deep into Art, I still managed to get some scrappin in!  I did have to let go of my Consulting with Close to My Heart in August, just not finding the interest here locally and I could no longer support my membership.  But it's all good I'm still enjoying scrapping, here's a collection of some of them.

I made some altered Journals using Composition books

I also altered a board book

I actually did do a few layouts, but I have my work cut out for me.  I'm still catching up from previous years but little by little I'm getting there.  My goal this year is to work on at least 2 pages a month.  I have my son's albums to finish by graduation which is 18 months away!!!

Wishing you all a Happy Holiday Season, see ya next year ♥

Mother's Day Note Card

One of my customers from Creations by Moonlight asked if I could included a note card with her order for her Mother, as it was a Mother's Day gift.  Here's the little note card a whipped up.  I may have too look into offering gift note cards with purchases.

Sweet Little Basket

Having too much fun with this paper piecing!  My Cricut is getting good use too.  This is another pattern from MyScrapChick  this one came as a "FREE" Pattern, every Friday they send out a free pattern with their news letter...this is my first one and I LOVE it!

I treated myself to my first Peachy Keen stamp sets...faces!  I've been wanting them for a while now.  So now that I have them I couldn't wait to use them!

Aren't these little faced eggs adorable?  My little guy is going to love this little basket, I just know it!

Crocodile Smiles at the Dentist

Here's a fun layout.  Again I'm using a Paper Piecing pattern from MyScrapChick where they really have a great collection of critters!  Here's my son at the Dentist, though he's been going since he was 1yr old, this is the first time he's actually laid back in the "Big Chair" all by himself.  Where they get to wear sunglasses and earphones AND get to watch cartoons in a TV above his head!

Can you believe this is the first time I used my Pixie!  Of course it's just a simple zig-zag stitch I created around the edging, but I'm not a good sewer and though I wanted the Pixie so much for my crafting I was afraid I'd mess up...but it was easy peasy!

Isn't he cute!  My little guy really liked him...hehehe

My Pink Stamper's Pinkalicious Blog Hop Challenge

It's about time that I participated in another My Pink Stamper Challenge and this one is a fun one!  Robyn always inspires me with her art, and since both my boys are coming up on birthdays, I thought this would be a fun challenge to do.  Not to mention all the wonderful eye candy everyone has posted on the Hop!

I've been loving my Cricut though I don't get to play with it as much as I would like.  While checking out Emma's My Creative Time design team's post I saw these adorable owls and I had to have them.  The link took me to My ScrapChick where there's a wonderful collection of paper piecing patterns.  Not only did I find the owls but a few other adorable must haves, and they are having a 50% off sale on purchases over $25!  Anyway, that's where I came across some adorable beach penguins that my little one is going to love!

Here is my Blog Hop Challenge submission...

What fun I had paper piecing!  Here's what it looked liked before I pieced it together...

I have a few more projects I'll be putting together this weekend, can't wait!  It's the best way to spend a rainy/snowy weekend!

Here's my Holiday Cards...

I got my Holiday Cards done and mailed out early this year, for a change :)  I was inspired by the new Close to My Heart "Mistletoe Workshop Kit"  I love the new kits.  Everything is included, stamp set, paper, accents and workshop guide.  Though I didn't follow the suggested workshop, I did use some of the paper, the stamp set and rolling stamp technique that was suggested.  I love glitter...so I had to use their Prisma Glitter which I LOVE...and end up sparkling for days after, LOL  I also embellished with their Opaques Adhesive Gems in Pearl, they have various sizes in the pack and since I had a good amount of cards to do I ended up having to use different sizes to complete my cards.  The ribbon and the green pattern paper was part of the "Creative Basics Mistletoe Collection", the ribbon is satin and very beautiful.

Amethyst, Purple Pansy, Olive, White Daisy and Vanilla Cardstock, Pattern paper and accents from Creative Basics Mistletoe, Mistletoe Workshop and Bella, All the Best Stamp Set, Amethyst and Purple Pansy ink, and of course Prisma Glitter!
